The founding of the National Museum of Photography has returned the Jesuit College back to its original function of a cultural and educational centre after a gap of several centuries.

A rich tradition of photographic education in our country has inspired us to make educational activities for professionals and the general public one of the principal aims of our museum.

To gather together professionals - eminent photographers, visual artists, art theoreticians and historians – with students and others interested in photography for workshops, seminars, conferences and exhibition openings, provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences as well as for mutual cognition.

One part of our educational programme also consists of the gradual building-up of a library fund focused on Czech and foreign specialized photographic literature.
